About Us

Welcome to PARIAH — an online bookstore and publisher based in London, UK. Through insurgent literature and rebellious thought, we challenge imperialist narratives, champion marginalised voices, and forge new pathways toward freedom and justice.

Our Inspiration

We take our name from Le Paria, a short-lived newspaper published by Ho Chi Minh, the great Vietnamese revolutionary. Its pages boldly exposed the brutal oppression of the Vietnamese people under French colonial rule — and played a critical role in awakening the world’s colonised people to rise up against injustice.

Our Mission

We’re a team of activists, scholars, artists, and thinkers united by one mission: to share stories that challenge imperialist narratives, champion marginalised voices, and forge new pathways toward freedom and justice. We believe true decolonisation begins by reimagining the world through diverse, Indigenous, and anti-colonial perspectives — voices that disrupt the status quo, reclaim space, and spark transformative change.

Through the books and articles we curate and publish, PARIAH is committed to amplifying these essential narratives. We invite readers to explore works that not only critique systems of power but also offer bold alternatives, stories of resilience, and radical possibilities for the future. In so doing, we hope to build a more equitable world — one story at a time.
